Learning to Live as a Young Mother, After Drugs

After her parents died, Katelin Hunter’s life started to spiral out of control. Substance abuse and three stints in prison left the 22-year-old mother desperate for help. Her healing began at UNC Horizons, a substance use disorder treatment program that helps pregnant women and women with children. There, Hunter found recovery, a renewed spirit, and a safe place for her son and daughter.
